YZ series three-phase AC induction motors for metallurgy and crane
YZ series motors are three phase induction motors for crane and metallurgy. YZ series motor is squirrel cage three phase induction motor. The motor is suitable for various types of crane and metallurgical machineries or other similar equipments. The motor features high over-load capacity and mechanical strength. They are suitable for such machines with short-time duty or intermittent periodic duty, frequent starting and braking, obvious vibration and shock. Their outline and structure are near to the international motors. The position of the terminal box is located in top, right side or left side of cable entrance and the degree of protection for enclosure is IP54, the heat is of the frame is vertical direction.
YZ motor’s rated voltage is 380V, and their rated frequency is 50Hz.
YZ motors insulation class is F or H. the insulation class F is always used in the field where ambient temperature is less than 40 and the insulation class. His always used in the metallurgical field where ambient temperature is less than 60.
YZ motor’s cooling type is IC410 (frame center height between 112 to 132), or IC411 (frame center height between 160 to 280), or IC511 (frame center height between 315 to 400).
YZ motor’s rated duty is S3-40%.

YZP series motor is suitable for various types of crane and other similar equipments. The motor features wide range of speed regulation, high over-load capacity and high mechanical strength. So the motor is suitable for such machines with frequent staring and braking, short-time overload, obvious vibration and shock. YZP series motors have features as following:
The insulation class of YZP motor is class F and class H. the insulation class F is always used in the field where ambient temperature is less than 40 and the insulation class H is always used in the metallurgical field where ambient temperature is less than 60. The motor with insulation class H and the motor with insulation class F have the same technical date. The motor features fully-sealed terminal box. The degree of protection of the motor for enclosure is IP54. The degree of protection for terminal box is IP55.
The type of cooling for YZP motor is IC416. axial independent cooling fan is located at the non shaft extension side. The motor features high efficiency, low noise, simple structure and the motor is suitable to fit auxiliary equipments such as the encoder, the tachometer, and the brake, etc. which assure that the temperature rise of motors at a low speed operation will not exceed limited value.
Its rated voltage is 380V, and its rated frequency is 50Hz. Frequency range is from 3 Hz to 100Hz. Constant torque is at 50Hz. And below, and constant power is at 50Hz and above. Its rated duty type is S3-40%. The dates of the rating plate are provided according to the rated duty type and the special data will be provided on the special request. The terminal box of the motor is located in the top of the motor, which can be led out from both sides of the motor. There is auxiliary connection bracket which is used for assembling thermal protection device, temperature-measurement unit, space heater and thermistor, etc.
The motor is intended for intermittent periodic duty load. According to the different loads, the duty type of the motor can be divided into as follows:
Intermittent periodic duty S3: According to a period of identical duty operation, each period includes the time of constant load operation and the time of de-energized and stop operation. Under S3, starting current during each period will not obviously affect temperature rise. Every 10 minutes is a working period, that is to say, 6 time starting per hour.
Intermittent periodic duty with starting S4: according to a period of identical duty operation, each period includes the time of starting which has significant effect on the temperature rise, the time of constant load operation and the time of de-energized and stop operation. Starting times is 150, 300 and 600 times per hour.
